Group Offerings

  • Feminist Eating Disorder Recovery Support Group

An inclusive and intersectional support space for folks navigating Eating Disorder Recovery.

Why did we create this group?

  • EATING DISORDER RECOVERY IN PREGNANCY & POSTPARTUM SUPPORT GROUP

A therapist led support group for birthing parents in pregnancy and postpartum.

Why did we create this group?

-Because eating disorders don’t just stop when you have a baby or are expecting one.

-Pregnancy and postpartum are times of increased body image triggers due to rapidly changing bodies, birthing experiences, heightened uncertainty, loss of autonomy, relationship changes and identity shifts.

-Lack of support and understanding for eating disorders during this time period leaves new and expecting parents to suffer in isolation.

-Group support can help remedy the loneliness of this life chapter.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • These groups are for ages 18+.

  • Nope! You are free to join with or without the outside support of an individual therapist. If it becomes clear you might benefit from one, we may offer referrals and suggestions.

  • Specialization is a combination of time spent working with a specific population, continuing education focused on eating disorders and co-occurring issues and whether or not someone has received adequate consultation and supervision from those in the field longer than oneself. While lived experience certainly adds an extra layer of understanding and empathy, it is not on it’s own enough to call oneself a specialist.

  • Cost ranges from $35-$60 depending on the facilitators experience.

  • No, unfortunately these groups are not eligible for insurance reimbursement.
