Georgia, an eating disorder therapist, sits in Balboa Park in a brown jacket and is smiling

Georgia (she/her) is a dedicated and compassionate Eating Disorder Therapist who works diligently to help her clients find a place of meaningful recovery. Georgia has received her Master’s in Social Work from CSU Dominguez Hills, known for its focus in liberation psychology and critical race theory. Georgia understands that eating disorders are complex issues with biological, social, psychological and cultural components and integrates a variety of approaches to assist you in meeting your recovery goals. What this means is, Georgia lets YOU take the lead in your own recovery instead of her imposing goals on you. She uses an intersectional, anti-oppressive, and social justice-oriented lens to collaborate and empower folx to identify and build on their own strengths. She welcomes conversations about how race, gender, sexuality, class, disability, anti-fatness and other identities or systems of oppression impact your experience in your body. Georgia utilizes a variety of evidence based clinical approaches (including IFS, CBT, DBT, ACT and more) to individualize your treatment, recognizing each client needs something different. Georgia has lived experience and professional experience working with eating disorders in residential and outpatient settings.

Clients describe Georiga as relatable, warm and compassionate guide who will help you uncover your authentic self and values, while meeting you where you’re at. Georgia has post-degree training and clinical experience in both Eating Disorders and OCD and has helped many clients improve their relationship to food and their bodies.
