Our Values & Approach to therapy
Our therapeutic approach is compassionate, warm and relatable. We are grounded in both scientific research and wisdom from lived experience (not just our own, but the countless and diverse range of clients we have served). We do not believe one size fits all when it comes to healing, which is why we individualize treatment to make it specific to your goals and needs.
While we have a variety of advanced clinical skills to help you find freedom from Eating Disorders and/or OCD, we believe YOU are the real expert on your life. We have knowledge and wisdom to share, of course. However, no one knows your unique needs and life circumstances like you do. We aim to help you define what recovery means to you, not force our own agenda or expectations. We value client autonomy, collaboration, neurodivergent affirming practices and anti-oppressive therapy. We aren’t here to tell you how to live your life, and we definitely do not have the magical cure to all your pain, rather, we help you determine what a values driven life looks like for you and support you in making that vision become a reality.
We do not gate keep things like gender affirming healthcare letters, accommodation letters or treatment modalities. We believe with collaborative and radically compassionate care, secure attachment relationships can be formed in therapy and become the catalyst for well-being throughout the rest of your life.
Healing happens in the safety of connection. It’s the secure, trusting relationship between therapist and client that creates the foundation for meaningful change.
